Brighton and Hove PrideJoin us for a great day out at Brighton and Hove Pride, whilst promoting that Scouting is truly diverse, inclusive and open to all.

About: The annual Brighton and Hove Pride community parade is one of the most colourful and exciting visual events in the city’s calendar bringing the whole community out onto Brighton & Hove’s streets with over 250,000 people participating and watching the colourful spectacle.
This will be the second year that The Scout Association has attended the event, and we hope to build on last year’s success.
Whatever your sexual orientation or gender identity, if you are a member of Scouting aged over 16, you are invited to join us to celebrate the diversity of Scouting on Saturday 6th August 2016.
We’ll gather at Hove Lawns, the parade start location at 10am and form into our walking group ready for the parade through Brighton and Hove to Preston Park. After the parade, you’ll be free to enjoy the rest of Pride. Anyone wishing you enter Preston Park for Brighton Pride Festival will need to purchase their own ticket at A small number of volunteers are needed to help staff a stall within the festival area, free park entry will be provided for these volunteers.
Please note that there will be nowhere to leave bags at the event, so travel light. We recommend you bring a packed lunch and refreshments to the parade start.

Accommodation: If you are aged 18, or over, limited indoor accommodation on the Friday and Saturday evenings has been arranged at a local Scout Hall for those travelling form a far. A small charge will be requested to cover the cost of refreshments and a basic breakfast. Select the accommodation option when registering. Be aware places are limited and parking is on street only. You can travel to the event on the Saturday morning if you wish.

Registration: Please complete the registration form at if you would like to attend Brighton and Hove Pride with The Scout Association this year. Young people aged 16 and 17 may attend with parental consent, and under 16’s may attend alongside a parent/carer. Register before the 1st June to secure your free purple Scout Pride t-shirt to wear on the parade.
