GROW YOUR GROUP in Crawley
January 20 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pmFree
Grow Your Group is a series of interactive workshops, spread over three half days that will help you to grow your Scout Group by involving and recruiting more adults (and possibly more youth members) and so be more sustainable.
No one has to commit to attending all three sessions but it would help with continuity for your Group. You really will benefit most if a few of your Group can share the learning from each of the sessions. So please, come yourself or persuade someone to cover for you or even better bring more from your Group/Unit.
This is the first of three sessions;
Saturday 20th January 2018: 9.00- 1.00pm
Session 2 Ready steady recruit
A session that looks at how we can get ourselves into the right situation to help us recruit new adults. We’ll also look at what might be preventing us from recruiting and how we can break down those barriers.
Session 3 Its’ a walk in the park. The 6 steps to recruitment
A lively fun session that looks at tried and tested methods of recruiting new adults. We’ll look at the different steps and how they fit together as well as how to move forward if one of the steps doesn’t seem to work.
Session 4 We don’t need superheroes we just need you!
This lively session will look at what your member’s parents may think and why we need to work with them.
It will also look at how we can work with parents more often to really get them interested in Scouting
Session 5 Too busy to help…. Think again!
Get ready to think differently about Vacancies as we look at how we can write exciting vacancy cards and where we can advertise them. The sky really is the limit
If you found these sessions interesting and useful, please come back and register separately for the other sessions on 24FEB18 and 24MAR18
Leaders on these sessions will be Chris Nagle and Mark Guy. Any questions at all please do not hesitate to contact any one of the team.
