May 25 @ 9:15 am - 1:30 pm
This course aims to raise the awareness of adults in Scouting of their role when working with young people. It is suitable both to introduce adults in Scouting to the Keeping Children Safe Programme; or for those who have already successfully completed it. The course includes a session on anti-bullying.
This is a course that fulfils the requirements of adults undertaking “approved safeguarding training” at least every 5 years. It is considered best practice to attend a face to face course. If you have completed online training for one appointment review then attendance at face to face training is compulsory at your next appointment review.
Time: Registration is at 9.15 am. Refreshments will be available at that time. The course will start at 9.30 am.
Dress code: Any clothing that you are comfortable in.
Lunch: The course finishes at 13:30 hours but you are welcome to bring something to eat during the last session.
Bring: A notepad and pen
Refreshments: Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
Course delivered by: Charlotte Cowdell
Although there is a note within the Eventbrite booking procedure regarding non attendance, I would draw to your attention that Groups who have Adults booking on a course and the Adult does not attend, it is now County and District policy that the Group is required to pay a fee of £10 per person.
Cancellation can be effected through either the Adult themselves revisiting the booking procedure or by advising the trainer direct by Email. Please do not E Mail Eventbrite direct as experience has shown such messages do not percolate through to the District causing embarrassment when Invoices are sent.
