Walk with us in the Brighton Pride parade to promote Scouting for All.
This is our third year participating in Brighton Pride and hope to have our largerest contingent yet!
This year’s Carnival of Diversity theme is ‘Summer of Love’, so look out those groovy boardshorts and psychedelic shades!

FAQs
Do I have to identify as LGBTQA+ to attend?
No, Scouting is open to all and all members are welcome to participate regardless of their sexuality.

Can my partner attend with me?
Yes, please register them when making your booking.

What’s the dress code?
We want to embrace this year’s theme, so look out those groovy boardshorts and psychedelic skirts. We’d encourage you to wear a purple Scout Pride t-shirt (limited supply available on the day for those without).
Wear your local scarf or rainbow scarf (option to purchase on the day) and trainers (you’ll be on your feet for about 3 hours).

Can young people attend?
Those aged 16 & 17 years old can attend with parental consent, a designated leader will be responsible for their welfare once they arrive at the meeting location (Howe Lawns) and at the dispersal point (Preston Park).
Children (under 16) can attend with their parents, please provide details when registering.

What are my travel options?
Brighton will be very busy over the weekend, travelling via public transport is recommended.

Is there any overnight accommodation?
No, you should arrange your own accommadation if required.

Is entry to Preston Park included?
No, tickets can be purchased at www.brighton-pride.org

Will there be a ScoutPride stand in Preston Park?
No, following a review from our stand in the park in 2016 it has been decided to participate in the parade only.
