Scouting is all about enjoying new adventures, experiencing the outdoors, gaining confidence and helping young people to reach their full potential. There are many children and young people in West Sussex who would benefit from this experience, but sadly for them the opportunities are just not there. That’s where the alliance with the County Council’s Think Family partnership comes in. Think Family brings together an array of public, private and voluntary groups, with a number of common interests including protecting and helping children to develop.
On 1st September 2014 West Sussex County Scout Council entered partnership with the Think Family Partnership, coordinated by West Sussex County Council. Aimed to help support vulnerable families turn their lives around, the partnership enables children from families engaged in the scheme to join Scouting in their local community.
