Power Boating

Whether driven for fun or practical use, Power boats are perfect for spending the day exploring the coastline, shuttling sailors to moored boats or providing safety cover on a Scouting activity. Not to mention that unrivalled high that comes from engine power on the water!

Details of the Scout Associations guidelines on the user of power boats can be found here. Members leading Power boats as part of a Scout Activity will need to hold an Adventurous Activity Permit. The Assessment Check list for power boating shows the areas that the Leader will need to demonstrate competence in to an Assessor.

In West Sussex is fortunate to operate a Sea School as an RYA Recognised Training Centre, which not only gives us first hand access to the the resources of the RYA, but allows us to offer RYA training courses.
