Chief Scout and Duke of Edinburgh Award Ceremony

CHIEF SCOUT AND DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARDS CEREMONY
On Sunday 26th January 2020, West Sussex Scout Council is delighted to invite Scout Award holders, their parents and leaders, to its award ceremony held at the Drill Hall, Horsham. The Scouts have put a lot of time and effort into completing these challenging awards and so it is right that we recognize their endeavors at a formal ceremony.
Registration commences at 14.45 and all attendees are expected to be seated for the official ceremony which will start at 15.00. The ceremony is expected to finish by 17.00 and a programme of events will be available on the day.
I am asking all attendees to register using the online (Eventbrite) dedicated award site.
- Award holders should register on ‘Award Holder’ tickets, this will allow them to access guest registration tickets. Please register in the name of the Young Person who is to receive an award. Space is limited so each award holder has been allocated a maximum of two guest tickets
- County team, District Officers and scout leadership group register using the ‘Invited scout leaders ‘ ticket
When you have finished you will be sent a confirmation e mail of your successful booking
Guests – Space is limited so each award holder has been allocated a maximum of two guest tickets, if more tickets are required please contact Tracy at the County Office on 01798 831110 who will add to a waiting list.
Photographs – A Scout photographer will take individual and group photographs at the event.
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Please can you use many of the pay and display car parks in the locality. There is a pay and display car park opposite the Drill Hall but with limited space.
Dress Code – Scout membership should wear full uniform, guests should wear smart casual.
Refreshments – Tea and Cake
