What is a Moot?
The World Scout Moot is an International gathering of 18 to 25 year old Scouts from around the world, coming together to share cultures, learn from each other and gain new skills. It takes place every four years hosted by a different country.
As a participant, your experience is made up of two halves; Trails and Base Camp. During the Trails section, participants will be in International Patrols of 10 participants and spread out in different locations around Ireland. Then all participants will come together at Malahide Castle for the Base Camp Section.
Who can attend the Moot?
Participants – Members of The Scouts aged between 18 and 25 (Born on or between 20th July 1995 and 19th July 2003)
International Service Team –Members of The Scouts & Girlguiding aged 26 and over (Born on or before 19th July 1995)
The 16th World Scout Moot runs from Monday 19th to Friday 30th July 2021.
The base fees for the UK Contingent for the Moot are;
- £995 for each participant
- £895 for each International Service Team (IST) member
